Tornado

THE HISTORY / PROBLEM
One Click Up-sells/Down-sells/Cross-sells have been tested, tried and proven to be an integral
part of the current sales process. The combination of Sales Page & One Time Offers (OTOs) has been
coined as "Sales Funnels".

Up until now, the ONLY way to set up such a Sales Funnel has been with a Merchant Account as the
transaction engine; as in order to properly present a Sales Funnel to a Client, the Client can only
be asked for their CC information once. Otherwise, the Sales Funnel can, (and most times is),
broken. Asking the Client for their CC information more than once puts the Client in a defensive
psychological mindframe; this is not good for sales conversions.

Merchant accounts allow for the CC information to be collected and have an initial transaction placed
as an Authorization; which isn't really a final sale, but more of a is this amount available on the CC
type of transaction. Being creative with an Authorization allows the Vendor to then present the Client;
(whose already in a buying mode); with subsequent similar or upgrade offers prior to a final sale
being placed on the Client's CC.

The Problem with this is multi-fold..
  1. Merchant accounts are inherantly very expensive to acquire and maintain
  2. Depending on the processing bank, Authorizations are actually holds on funds against the Client CC
    1. These funds are usually held against the Client CC for 5~10 business days.
    2. This will show on the Client's CC billing statement as "two" transactions.
  3. The final transaction also shows on the Client's CC billing statement.
    1. The possibility of customer service complaints rises, greatly.

THE SOLUTION - TORNADO
Tornado was specifically designed to work with PayPal™; as PayPal is free to use with the exception of
very low fees per transaction, (2.9% + .30¢ per transaction).

Tornado allows the Vendor to set up TRUE One Click scenarios with NONE of the problems associated with
the Merchant account model.

Online Shopping Cart Abandonment is one of the biggest unsolved problems of the eCommerce world, to date.  We are attempting to attack this problem head on by programming an Abandoned Cart feature into Tornado.

Tornado Profit System will periodically send you an eMail for each Prospect that abandons your sales funnel. This eMail will contain that Prospect's First and Last name and their eMail address, (as reported by PayPal™).

This gives you the opportunity to contact them and find out what might have gone wrong.

(the possibilities are endless with what you can do with this information).

We chose to initially release Tornado Profit System as a hosted application due to the newness of the functionality and the anticipated need to make rapid changes to the core system.

Keeping it a hosted application (initially) helps us keep the system optimally updated.

It also allows us to keep the price accessible to everyone.

(We do plan on releasing a stand-alone version in the near future, however.)
